Making Sense of Web 2.0
Posted by tehkenny on July 25, 2008
I’ve spent the past few weeks making sense of a life lived in part on the World Wide Web. I started my time on the web at AOL Homestead hand-coding my HTML, making upload after upload. The experience hasn’t gotten better with time.
The web has moved from pages to posts. I had control over my pages, but posts, not so much.
Ultimately, I would like to have the control over my posts that I had over my code, but it is unlikely to happen. If there is a place where I can cut and paste different posts from different feeds into a new feed, THAT would be real Web 2.0, this is web 1.9.9. EDIT: See post: How to Be on Top of the Web (2.0)
Until then, GET a Profilactic.com lifestreaming feed. Then, GET a tumblr. FEED the profilactic lifestream into your tumblr then PUT THE FEED up on your main blog or main page or startpage or home page. You might feed that main page into yourprofilactic. You can delete posts from your tumblr if and need not be shared.
A series of tubes, my friends. A series of tubes.
